And then this people they lived here all their lives are forced to move. Please sit back and think for a while.... white acres will pay at least 50 percent of our school taxes. People we keep in Rhinebeck will shop. Our shops and restaurants need people to come in.
Do you want to live in a ZOO ? - where " poor" or " middle class" people" are watching the rich people in Rhinebeck, by coming up for the weekend? What does more traffic really do for Rhinebeck? Everyone will get something out of it... Restaurants, Bars, Shops, Spas.
The Village just approved a 83 bedroom hotel with Spa and big fancy restaurant. Who will use that, if nobody cant afford to live here anymore, because of the high taxes? The day will come and all what you need your money for will be taxes and money for the the daily "survival".
I thought when the Democrates won the election in Rhinebeck,lets see what they can do for the village. Convince me.... Well until know I see that development and the village let willing to grow, because thats what is economy all about... not standing still or waiting that something else will be or could be happend. We have a nice piece of historical land right here, not even in the middle of the village, and by the way not only one road goes to white acres, where our senior citizen would have a nice space to live and walk and enjoy eachother and are able to stay the town/village they grow up in.
Please, Rhinebeck wake up.Do not make the mistake and not approve it, because you do not like the person who planes it and/or heard a lot of ghossip about him/them. It does not matter who builts, as long it will get built and we all profit from it.
